When I first saw this guy with all of these pigeons surrounding him I wasn’t sure what was happening! It was such an unusual sight. A man kneeling down before 20-30 birds and talking to them and using gestures like an orchestra conductor to instruct the birds to follow him. Seeing is believing and it’s another wonderful example of inter-species connection.
His name is Rick Gardner, and he is the Kailua Birdman! Gotta love Kailua Beach!
